Following the huge success of our seminars around the UK, School for Startups is coming to Colchester. A must-attend event for any budding entrepreneur, "The Six Rules For Startups" is hosted personally by Doug Richard, the original BBC2 Dragon. The course is funded by the Economic Challenge Investment Fund (ECIF) and the University of Essex.

Before an entrepreneur invests valuable time and money into a business idea, there are six essential questions they should ask themselves: Who are my customers? What makes my proposition attractive? Do I have a sustainable competitive advantage? What type of industry am I in? Do I have the right skills and experience? Who else do I need to make this work? This seminar provides the framework within which entrepreneurs can answer these questions for themselves and offers an educational, insightful and inspiring introduction to how to succeed in business.

How to treat the recession as an opportunity, rather than a threat

You must either have started a business OR be genuinely interested in starting a business.
You must live in Suffolk or Essex and be able to prove this.
Places are limited and offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
Students from the University of Essex will be provided with free transport from the main campus to and from the workshop. Please email info@schoolforstartups.co.uk to book your place on the bus.
